WHYY is currently seeking a part time Project Producer who is responsible for managing a two-year grant that supports development of multi-media content addressing several key Constitutional issues. This position would work with staff in the creation and delivery of multi-platform content for radio, television and web based platforms, along with the production of community-centered, engaging live events. The producer will make sure the many individual elements of the project are viewed by the public as a cohesive and significant WHYY initiative.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Work with the News, Programming/Production, Digital, Education and Marketing teams to define the scope of responsibilities of the project
Supervise production of original content to multiple platforms – from concept to delivery
Work with events team to produce community based live events
Identify and manage an advisory group for the project
Book experts to participate in events or as featured guests on programs
Conduct regular project meetings and prepare weekly status reports
Perform other duties as assigned
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in production or related field or the equivalent professional experience is required. Familiarity with research, web content and development.
Experience: Two to four years of experience working in a production environment providing oversight or managing multiple projects.
Communication: Proactively assists and involves others, initiates collaboration with others, assumes additional responsibilities to facilitate the achievement of team goals, and seeks input from other team members on matters that affect them.
Technical: Fluent in MS Office programs, familiar with group communication apps (i.e. Slack)
