Individual responsible for achieving WEAA’s business revenue goals and manage WEAA’s trade business in accordance with policy. Individual leads a team of account representatives and support staff to deliver customized and off-the-shelf sponsorship opportunities to new and existing accounts (and/or their representative agencies or corporate foundations) across multiple media platforms including broadcast, digital (web/email), streaming, podcasts, social media and events.
Individual collaborates heavily with internal stakeholders to drive revenue growth on existing and emerging platforms in a manner consistent with the station’s mission and values.
As the Director of Development, individual will drive the station’s strategy to maximize underwriting and membership revenue through new innovative product and strategy. and cultivate high-level opportunities with corporate major accounts and their foundations.The successful candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in a related field such as business, marketing and/or communications or equivalent experience. At least seven (7) years experience in managing media sales (radio/print/digital) is required. In-depth knowledge of advertising agencies and national sales is also required.
Experience selling and executing digital campaigns; demonstrated ability to value media assets and package in a compelling way; experience with utilizing traffic and inventory management systems, research tools, CRM applications (e.g. Sales Force, Marketron, Nielson, Scarborough).
Individual must be familiar with; appreciative of and have experience in public media
