Maryland Public Television served as convener for stakeholder groups, helping to bridge gaps between organizations by sharing best practices and success stories, and identifying common roadblocks. The station partnered with Wide Angle Youth Media to bring in authentic youth voices to tell their stories and create a meaningful impact. Maryland Public Television held four parent workshops and two community resource fairs to provide parents with assistance and dropout prevention resources. MPT also aired No Textbook Answer, a program produced by the Kettering Foundation, highlighting eight communities' efforts to eliminate the "achievement gap" between minority/low-income students and their white/middle income counterparts.
