Nashville Public Television, as part of CPB's American Graduate Initaitive, looks at the challenges Nashville's immigrant and refugee students present to and face in Nashville's public schools. Many are "English Language Learners" (ELL), whose high school graduation rate falls nearly 12% below the average Tennessee graduate rate.
