August Station Highlights: CET/ThinkTV, NPT and CPT12
American Graduate hub stations have been making big moves in the past month for their contributions. Here's a rundown of what's happened with them.
- CET/ThinkTV featured John Bridgeland, CEO of Civic Enterprises, as keynote speaker during its GradNation Community Summit earlier this spring. While in Dayton, Bridgeland spoke to 150 community leaders, state legislators, and educators, met with key stakeholders, recorded two radio interviews with WYSO, and recorded American Graduate testimonials for CET and ThinkTV.
- The Denver Post recently published a feature story about CPT’s American Graduate work with GED+ students at Denver Public Schools. Through their American Graduate workshops, CPT is elevating youth voice and informing Colorado about the issues that young, at-risk youth face while teaching students digital storytelling skills and engaging them in other creative forms of expression.
- NPT’sStudent Voices shines a light on various obstacles that students face as they work to graduate from high school. In “I Can Be Somebody,” Kevin talks about his struggles to balance school with working a full-time job.
