'Medora' wins Emmy for outstanding business and economic reporting
Congratulations goes to Independent Lens film “Medora,” which took home an Emmy Monday night for outstanding business and economic reporting – long form.
The film follows the struggles of the community in Medora, Indiana paralleled with its struggling high school basketball team. One of the stories closely followed is that of Robby Armstrong who wants to be the first in his family to complete high school.
PBS garnered 57 nominations in the News and Documentary Emmys and walked away with a total of 17.
American Graduate films “American Promise” and "Bully" were nominated for multiple awards.
