First Lady Michelle Obama and NBA superstar LeBron James have doubled down in their commitment to helping youth reach higher education this past week.
The First Lady and James provided their star power this past week in Akron, Ohio through a new project, Better Make Room, which falls under Obama’s Reach Higher initiative.
The First Lady tweeted on Oct. 21 “Lebron might be your hero, but you should know that you all are his heroes too.”
“Better Make Room” is an educational engagement project that connects students with social media and sharing their interest in education as well as motivational stories to keep them on the path to a high school diploma and eventually college degree.
This past summer, James committed to helping more students get into higher education from Akron, and pledged millions to pay for their college education.
