One Denver, Colo. teacher’s classroom assignment has triggered a viral and deep educational discussion.

Third-grade teacher Kyle Schwartz asked her students to write notes about what they wish their teacher knew about them. Schwartz then turned to social media with the #IWishMyTeacherKnew to share some of the students’ work throughout the past few weeks.

The hashtag picked up steam with other educators and soon even media outlets and others took notice and began to share.

The hashtag also created a social conversation around how important student-teacher relationships are and how powerful this one assignment could be.

In reaction to the #IWishMyTeacherKnew popularity, there were a number of teachers who, in turn, shared their own thoughts, too, using #IWishMyStudentsKnew.

Below are a few of the posts that Schwartz shared on her own social media. Using #AmGrad and #Iwishmyteacherknew, showcase what your wishes or thoughts on the popular trend.
