Presidential Education Awards program provides incentive for academic motivation
School principals across the country have the ability to nominate their students currently for one of two awards in the Presidential Education Awards program.
The President's Award for Educational Excellence --which awards students' academic success -- and the President's Award for Educational Achievement -- which awards students for their educational growth or improvement in academics -- has recognized thousands of students in elementary, middle and high school across the country in previous years.
Both awards are meant to celebrate and encourage students' achievements in their classes and inspire them as they move forward. All recipients are eligible to receive a certificate and pin of their respective school level.
Research has shown that providing students reward for their growth in class can provide further academic motivation, according to Intervention Central.
Only school principals can nominate students in the respective programs.
