Children and their parents have another new app on the market that will help in their learning, understanding and probably increase their video watching.

Earlier this week, Google unveiled its YouTube Kids app, which makes it simple for kids to find videos on various topics. Those topics or categories could range from arts and crafts to mathematical solving as well as snippets from PBS programming such as Sesame Street, or Thomas the Tank Engine.

The app is a part of Google’s bigger plan to appeal to youth, especially those 12 years of age or younger, and it was built with parental input.

The app also includes parental controls for search settings and a timer.

The new app is available for iPhone and Android devices.
